Desiree Duarte (Dance, Yoga)Desiree has been a professional swing and salsa dancer for more than a decade. She was a featured dancer in the original Broadway dance sensation "SWING!" and has performed throughout the US, Europe, and Japan. Most recently she was a featured ballroom dancer and instructor for the prestigious Crystal Cruise line. She has taught swing dance to all levels and ages from the absolute beginner to the highly experienced professional.
Desiree started her yoga practice over a decade ago while working as a dancer on Broadway. Yoga started as a way for Desiree to warm up for a show and to prevent injury but eventually became so much more. She went on to study and become certified in Vinyasa flow through Sonic yoga NYC. As a professional dancer and certified Gyrotonic instructor, Desiree has a wide range of movement modalities to draw from and inspire her creative class.
