Do you like the new hit TV show "GLEE"? If so, you will love our new Show Choir class! This past summer Art House hosted a week long show choir camp which generated enough interest to start an ongoing class. So come and be a part of Art House Astoria's show choir "Majestic Melody"! In this class students will learn solo and ensemble numbers which combine singing, dancing and theatrics. Students will have the opportunity to perform at Art House events as well as events throughout the community. This class will no doubt be both educational and a lot of fun! (90 minutes)
This beginner level course focuses on basic chords, rhythms and simple melodies. The repertoire focuses on material from a variety of genres including folk, blues and classical. A half or three-quarter size guitar is recommended for this class.

This class will be an exploration into the world of theater for youngsters aged 6 to 8. Focusing on music, games, puppets, and short plays, the class will help your child to gain self-confidence and explore creativity in a fun environment with other kids. Students will have the chance to perform in a showcase at the end of the semester and feel the thrill of performing before a live audience.
