Joe Hartman
While some may recognize Joe from his rhapsodically reviewed performance at... the front desk of Art House Astoria until 2021, he is also an actor, singer and writer (Actors Equity and SAG) who has made Astoria his home since 2016. Since moving to New York he has performed in Chenango River Theater’s production of Escanaba in Da Moonlight, participated in a staged reading of the The Panic Defense, guest starred as Camp Counselor Carl on the podcast Lolly’s Radio Playdate. Joe also performs as Cathy Dresden, “America’s Big Hearted Song Bird of 1959”, having sung at The Metropolitan Room, Pangea Supper Club, and Don’t Tell Mama. Other roles include Bert Healy in Annie, Nicely-Nicely Johnson in Guys and Dolls, Wally Fergusson in 1940s Radio Hour, as well as in television as Father Joseph on Showtime’s The Great Commission, and on radio playing a vast array of fairy tale characters in Story Time With Barney.
Joe is no stranger to hosting duties, and among other events, has been emcee and host for 2,385 real estate agents from Keller Williams, when they entered the Guinness Book of World record for “World’s Largest Cha-Cha Slide.
