Zorica čolić • art
Zorica Čolić is a visual artist and educator, with more than fifteen years of teaching experience at public schools, colleges and museums. Zorica earned an M.F.A. in Electronic Integrated Arts from Alfred University (Alfred, NY), and a B.F.A. in Painting from Academy of Arts (Novi Sad, Serbia). She has had residencies at Whitney Museum’s Independent Study Program, The Bronx Museum of the Arts, NYFA’s Immigrant Artist Mentoring Program, Institute for Electronic Arts and International Summer Academy in Salzburg, Austria, to name a few. She has been exhibiting in solo and group shows internationally, including exhibitions at Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts Project Space, NY, Harvestworks Digital Media Arts Center, NY, The Energy Museum of Santralistanbul, Istanbul, Turkey, Museum of Contemporary Art, Leipzig, Germany, Museum of Yugoslav History, Belgrade. Zorica is a recipient of grants from prestigious institutions such as Foundation for Contemporary Arts (New York), New York Foundation for the Arts, KulturKontakt (Austria) and Goethe Institute (Germany).
Zorica’s teaching experience includes leading school-based residencies, public youth and family programs and internship programs through various New York City institutions such as Studio in a School, Center for Arts Education, International High School at LaGuardia College, The Bronx Museum of the Arts and more. She organized and coordinated exhibitions, facilitated public programs and public engagement, and completed multiple professional development workshops on developing comprehensive age-specific curriculums in a full range of media, supporting multi-language learners, social-emotional learning, and creating a culturally responsive classroom.
Blaine Fitzgerald • sewing
Blaine Fitzgerald is a plant geneticist by day and lover of all creative works by night. A proud supporter of all things DIY and design, he fell in love with sewing and material crafts at a young age. As an Astoria resident, he greatly enjoys the opportunity to guide local students towards their next creative adventure.
Randi Hinds • art
Randi is a recent graduate from Cornell University who studied both Fine Arts and Film and who is thrilled to begin her career as an emerging artist and writer. Randi specialized in screenwriting and digital media and she is a fan of all things animated, with a slight bias towards the horror genre. Randi is passionate about art as well as diversity and ensuring that people of all backgrounds have the space to express themselves.
